From human rights, decisions about birth and death, and crime and justice to Indigenous rights, freedom of expression and religion, the Law and Society major explores the impact of legal and social policy on all areas of our lives.
Develop a broader perspective and learn to assess the design, implementation and effectiveness of current regulation in Australia with USQ’s Master of Laws (Public Law).
Candidates must have an appropriate degree, such as a Bachelor of Laws; a Bachelor of Laws (Honours); a Juris Doctor; or an international equivalent. Applicants who do not hold a law degree but have an equivalent qualification approved by a legal profession admissions board are also eligible to apply for entry.
English Language Requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6. 5 or equivalent.
If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
